Does the unit come with a tap?
Yes, it comes with a specially designed Air Gap tap to accept the high flow rates through the Air Gap. It looks like a standard Chrome Touch-Flo tap with a higher base.

The unit uses 1 carbon block and 2 TFC membranes. These are custom sized and only available through Authorized Merlin Distributors.

How much total water will the Merlin consume compared to a typical RO system with a storage tank?
The Merlin RO System is designed to operate at 33% efficiency. This means that for every 2 gallons of product water used, a total of 6 gallons will be needed. A standard RO system with a storage tank runs at about 5% efficiency. This means that for every 2 gallons of product water used, a total of 13-25 gallons will be needed *.

Can the Merlin RO System run continuously?
The Merlin was designed to provide 0.5 gpm continuous flow of product water over the course of a 24-hour period or longer. If more than 10 gallons of product water will be used on a daily basis, you must add additional Sediment Filtration/Chlorine Removal capacity.

What filters & membranes are used?
The unit utilizes 1 - 5 Micron Sediment Carbon Block Pre-filter, 2 - TFC High Production Membranes, and 1 - Granular Activated Carbon Post Filter. These are non-standard sized and only available through Authorized Merlin Distributors.
